Since modern celebrations of Cinco de Mayo include some of our favorite things—margaritas and guacamole—it's become tradition for us to honor the day in some way.

The GDV Guacamole & Margarita Cinco De Mayo Recipes
INGREDIENTS
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/2 lime, juiced*
- 1/2 tsp of cumin
- 1 tbsp of Sardel Olive Oil
- 1/4 small red onion, diced
- Black Lava Salt, to taste*
- Black pepper, to taste*
- 6 cherry tomatoes, diced (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- *add more to taste if desired
METHOD
Halve + scoop out avocados in bowl. Mash with a fork until creamy.
Add lime juice, onions, salt, pepper, cumin, tomatoes + coriander. Mix together until the desired consistency (we like ours a little artisanal + chunky).
Optional: Add additional diced tomatoes & fresh cilantro to garnish.
Your Guacamole is ready to serve!
The Grayson
INGREDIENTS
2 oz pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed is preferred)
1 oz lime juice* (1 lime)
1 oz tequila of your choice (we love Casamigos Blanco)
Optional: 1/2 slice of lime for garnish
- Optional: Black Lava Salt for rim.
METHOD
Salt the rim of the glass using black lava salt.
Juice 1 grapefruit + 1 lime.
Combine in shaker with tequila + ice.
Shake for 15 seconds.
Strain into glass.
Add a slice of lime to garnish (optional)
